Another Mass Murder That Won't Get Media Attention

Everyone remembers the murder spree in Santa Barbara where the preppy dude slaughtered 6 people basically because the girls didn't think he was cool.  He was a loose wingnut, that just went off.

(Reuters) - A gunman killed six people and wounded seven others in a drive-by shooting in a Southern California college town, spraying bullets from his car until it crashed and he was found dead inside, authorities said on Saturday.

What many people don't know is that of the 6 murders, half were committed with a knife.  I've got an employee who is a former police officer, and he didn't know that.

Reading the Reuters article, YOU wouldn't know it either.

Witnesses to the violence reported seeing someone driving a black BMW through the streets and shooting at people in Isla Vista, ...

and

The suspected gunman's father was Peter Rodger, an assistant director on 2012 film "The Hunger Games."

and

Brown said deputies had twice exchanged fire with the suspected gunman on Friday night before his vehicle crashed ...

and

California's KEYT-TV reported that the suspected gunman's apartment complex was also a crime scene and that three bodies had been removed from the site. 

and

"Everyone that was being fired upon, they all jumped and scrambled to run inside the store," he said.

No mention that the 3 bodies found in the apartment were killed by knives.  Hell, no mention whatsoever of a knife, period.

Where were the calls for banning knives?  Why don't the statists pine for "common sense" regulation for "bladed assault weapons"?

Well, apparently, there's something in the water in Santa Barbara, 'cause there's been another mass murder.

A 46-year-old man is in custody Tuesday after allegedly stabbing four people to death in Goleta.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office said they began investigating a quadruple homicide about 11 p.m. Monday at a home in the 600 block of Walnut Park Lane.

They killed the dog, too.

It will be the same sound of chirping crickets in the Mainstream Media.  It will be in the news - below the fold - for a day or two, then nothing.

Why is it so hard for these soft-headed statists to understand that it isn't the weapon that's the problem, it's the nut behind the weapon?

I know.  That question pre-supposes logic and intelligence where none is present.
